BE A PART OF L.O.S. KIDS “VIVALDI’S FOUR SEASONS!”

Hey! Psssst! Professor Treblemaker here! I'm planning a special surprise, and I NEED YOUR HELP!

I would love to surprise Mr. Vivaldi on our upcoming concerts by showing beautiful artwork up on the big screen, inspired by his music and created by audience members... and all while we listen to the Orchestra perform one of his greatest pieces of music. Doesn't that sound fun?!

Follow the instructions below to have your children's and grandchildren's artwork included in the concert. I look forward to seeing what they create!

#1 - Find a piece of paper and some art supplies (crayons, paints, etc.).

#2 - Click here (or the video below) to play a few seconds of Vivaldi's Flute Concerto, and ask your little one to close their eyes and "imagine" what the music might look like. Does it remind them of a person, or a place? Maybe an animal, a building, or even a musical instrument? What colors or shapes would they use to make a drawing inspired by the music?

#3 - Play the music again, and encourage your child to create a piece of artwork while they listen. There are no wrong answers. Their drawing might be abstract, or something very specific, but we can't wait to see how it looks!

#4 - Take a photo or scan the finished piece and email it to me, Professor Treblemaker, at treblemaker@littleorchestra.org. I will create a slideshow of everyone's artwork to project on the big screen while we listen to this music performed live! I'm SURE Vivaldi is going to love it, and I hope you will, too!
