Partner with The Little Orchestra Society
To celebrate its 72nd Anniversary Season, L.O.S. is offering partnership opportunities to community and corporate sponsors who share our goals and vision. The Orchestra’s dynamic scope of work includes concerts, music education programming in public schools, and community engagement activities in libraries, senior centers, public housing facilities, and the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. Following is brief information about our opportunities.
L.O.S. prides itself on creating the highest quality programming, and is beloved and trusted by members of the New York Metropolitan Area community. Each season, L.O.S. presents live music in ways that inspire, innovate, and engage audiences while creating powerful connections within and among New York City communities.
The Little Orchestra Society/Orpheon, Inc. (L.O.S.) will deliver more than 1,000 services during the 2019-20 season – ranging from concerts and open dress rehearsals to classroom workshops and music education activities at community events throughout New York City – reaching some 25,000 people in person and hundreds of thousands more digitally each year.
Partnership opportunities include the L.O.S. KIDS concert series and music education programs, community engagement programs, print, digital and social media, special events and the L.O.S. Annual Gala.
L.O.S. KIDS Concert Series: Based on the new model for a 21st century orchestra, our concerts captivate audiences by incorporating talented young soloists, actors, video, animation, singers, dancers, and many opportunities for audience participation--all connected by our “quirky musical guide” Professor Treblemaker and our Artistic Advisor David Alan Miller. Just finishing its latest season of sold-out performances, L.O.S. KIDS presents live music performed by our professional orchestra and focuses on famous composers who come to visit in the concert hall.
L.O.S. offers its Sponsors the opportunity to partner with New York’s finest Peabody Award-winning and Grammy-nominated Orchestra. Sponsors will have the following opportunities to participate at various levels of high impact traditional and digital media:
4 newly-created concert productions for L.O.S. KIDS, the L.O.S. 72nd Anniversary Season
26 performances at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College on the Upper East Side
15,000+ performance attendees from the Tri-state Area
Hundreds of thousands of impressions (via season media buys, marketing, and PR)

Musical Connections: The School Partnership Program ® (MC) 1700+ children in New York City public schools in Grades PreK-5 are participating in our in-depth music composition residency, through which students compose their own music to be performed by professional musicians. The hands-on process of writing music helps students develop a new vocabulary to express their feelings and ideas, and also become better communicators, collaborators, and creative thinkers. To strengthen the connection between their in-class composition work and live music in the concert hall, students attend Little Orchestra Society weekday concerts, as well as weekend performances with their families. A short video about Musical Connections can be found here
Community Engagement Programs: More than one-third of the 15,000+ children and family members who attend our concerts and dress rehearsals this season will do so without charge, as they could not otherwise have afforded tickets. In tandem with our performance and music education programs, we partner in an array of community engagement programs at museums, libraries, senior centers and public housing facilities, as well as at public events across the New York City.
LOS Annual Gala: Sponsors will be recognized at The Little Orchestra Society’s 72nd Anniversary Gala at Florence Gould Hall, a festive afternoon for children and families to gather and support the Orchestra’s music education and community engagement programs.
