The Little Orchestra Society's™ community engagement
program Live In Concert! offers accessibility to
members of the New York City community who would
otherwise have little or no contact with classical music.
To this end, Live In Concert! provides opportunities
for both underserved public school students
and children in publicly-funded day care centers and
social service agencies, as well as their families, to
attend weekday open dress rehearsals and weekend
performances of our Lolli-Pops™ and Happy
Concerts for Young People concert series free-of-
charge. Educational resource materials are provided
to help teachers and program leaders in preparing
and enhancing the concert experience for their
students.

The Little Orchestra Society’s™ programs are
supported, in part by public funds from the
New York City Department of Cultural Affairs
in partnership with the City Council. Additional
funds come from the New York State Council on
the Arts, a state agency.
