David Wilson
Meet David Wilson, the Little Orchestra Society's Principal Percussionist. David is a graduate in Music Education from the University of Tennessee. He was a high school band director before touring as a percussionist with Holiday on Ice. After coming to New York he studied with Richard Horowitz (timpani) and Doug Allan (mallet percussion). He is a member of the American Ballet Theater Orchestra and serves also as principal percussionist of the Long Island Philharmonic. David is the percussion instructor at Horace Mann School.
It seems clear that David's whole career supports the educational aspects of LOS. We also know him as the calm, quiet one - always ready with a good, sound solution and another one of the LOS' joys to be around at every gathering.
